Well I've decide to go with the Hertz MLK 165s (sorry Blaine). And now we start the long-ass process in which I probaly won't finish. Anyways. Here's where tonight's gotten me. And I'll let you guys know now, I'm a CNC operator, so stuff like this isnt very hard for me.

The piece pictured is just a test, that's why she's in 5/8" melamine. It will be attached to my door panel (currently 1/2" MDF). But basicly, what I plan on doing is having the woofer semi-flush (hard to do flush due to the curved grill housing), and the crossover behind a plexiglass window. I'll be making several "layers", the others being a frame for the enclosure for the woofer. I'll try to get some of that done tomorrow. For the tweeters, I've started some pieces for the mirror triangles, but I'm unsure if I want to go that direction or do something on the doors as well. Opinions? Suggestions? I think I'm going to do some sort of design on the front of the piece as it is very plain..

Got off my ass today and did a little more work. The baffles and frames are done, just need to glue them together. And I've decided to mount the tweeters on the door, just because the pods are easier to remake when I **** a few of them up.

And I realise that the tweeter pods look a lot like nipples.
