i made a sub box last summer, of 3/4" mdf for 2 alpine type r 10"subs. Once it was done i realized it was a little bit too big for the r's and looked into the x's and they are better fit for my box. i know have the type x 10's, but they are a bit heavier than the r's and it seems like i need to support them, but with a completed box, it will be very hard to get in and support the sub. the front board is 1" thick but still don't think it will hold the subs for long. the box is also ported so some pressure on the front board is gone. if anyone has some suggestions on this, that would be great. thanks
