Hi All,
I'm a noob at this, but hopefully i can ask the right questions with this post.
I have an Explorer Sport Trac, and there is very limited room behind the seats where i'd like to put 2 10"s... here is a pic behind the seats with everything removed:

As you can see, not much room, and i will also have to notch the box to accomodate the back and go with some shallow mounts. A lot of people have made some pretty good all-mdf boxes, but i wanted to do something a bit different, and make the back out of mdf, attach mdf rings to that structure, and then fleece it, soak that in resin, and add about 7-9 lated of glass on top of it. Here is the concept:

Is this possible? or am i complicating the thing beyond what's needed? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I'd do a single 12 shallow, like the earthquake in a .8 cube sealed mdf box with 300 watts. Lotsa bass, simple, and very little room required. Then you can get a 5 channel amp (4x75 + 1x300 like the Alpine pdx-5). Easy, simple, and will sound great.

Thanks danyman and veeman!
those are both good suggestions. i am starting this weekened hopefully as i can only do the work in bits and pieces.... so a good 5 channel amp can then power everything for me - the door speakers and the sub? that's good to know....
