| I decided to go with a pair of Fi SSD 12's instead of the original 15" mofo.
I was wondering if anyone had any good advice on an spl box for these things.
This is what i had in mind:
17" x 17" x 30" using 3/4" MDF, for 3.96 ft3 inside volume. This gives roughly 1.9 ft3 per sub. I was going to share the chamber for both subs, then use 5.5" sonotube ports out the rear of the box with subs facing forward.
Fi suggests 1.8 - 2.5 ft3 for one of these subs.
My goal here is mainly for SPL use.
I will build a second box for a quality setup afterward. I think i might go sealed for the quality setup. It would only be used for going to the drive-in. hehe |
