On the alpine you have to give a +12V on the foot brake wire, then a ground on the e brake wire, then lose the +12V on the foot brake. The +12V brake wire is easiest to get at the switch. The wire will test +12V when the pedal is depressed, and should probably be green with a red stripe on a F150. It's the same wire that you go to for the brake shut down on a remote starter.

I can't beleive anyone would bypass those safety features. You will likely be arrested the first time a police officer gets a look at that screen. You in big trouble boy!

buy a pac tr7 it will allow you to bypass the switch footbrake garbage, should cost you less than 50$ i have used plenty of them and they work great, and i have never heard of even one person getting arrested, i guess its possible but how does the officer not know that its for navigation or something, besides many cars come with diagnostic lcd screens and climate control etc etc

If I might comment on the legality issues here, I've actually looked into this. After an exhaustive discussion with a Waterloo Police representative on the phone, I've been informed that there is no law against a driver having a video screen in front of them. It is completely legal to have that screen in front of the driver while the vehicle is in motion.
