is it just producing a flat signal?

how do i cross over the sub output on the deck?

what model did you get.?
that does not sound right at all.
in bass options you might see a defeat on/off option.
if that is on it disables most of the EQ and hz cutoff options.

according to alpine's site it says it has it:
• Crossover: Flat/6/12/18/24dB oct., 20-200Hz (High-Pass/Low-Pass)

Check page 14 & 15 in the owners manual! Its there

wow that is incredibly stupid - $350 for an Alpine deck with only HPF?? You are 100% correct no LPF! WFT IS THAT???
Honestly I think Alpines deck are going to the crapper - one of the reason over the past 12 years I've never owned one!
