ya im looking at a deck, well im trying to choose between two ...here are the decks : 1)http://www.fcsurplus.ca/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=2723 and 2)http://www.fcsurplus.ca/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=2243 ...i called them and asked which one was better they were saying the lanzar was better because it has more functions, but it doesnt have an MP3 player which the Pyle does and the lanzar is more expensive by $10. They also said the lanzar is a better quality name brand.. AND also the lanzar has a sub output which the Pyle doesnt ...CAN anyone tell me what a sub output does or means?? and can u help me choose what deck i should get ..all comments will be greatly appreciated!

Personally i wouldn't go with either (my own oppinion ) as i feel that there are probably alot better choices out there! pyle and lanzar both bring pictures of woofers into my head. I would take a look at pioneer or clarion, kenwood etc. Of the two because of the little i know about them i would say the lanzar! As for the sub out! This is a nice little option, this is an extra set of rcas which allow you to run a seperate sub amp and gives you a seperate control for that particular amplifier. This way there is a method of controlling front, rear and subwoofer output all independent of eachother!

for that price, you should be able to find something a lil better quality , in my opinion.

Why not a JVC deck? I love mine, and they have the mp3 option on most of their decks. They are cheaper than say a pioneer or kenwood, usually, and they have comparable features, like sub output, built in Equalizers, etc.

I would recommend goin to your local stereo shop, or even somewhere like best buy or future shop, and just getting an idea of the deckks in your price range.

If there seem to be no car stereo shops in your area, check out some places online, like etronics.com or futureshop.ca , etc...just to get a better idea.
obviously, I am not a big Pyle or Lanzar fan, but maybe thats just me.

ya thanks a lot...i went to futureshop today and i saw 2 decks around my price range...a JVC .i dont know what kind it was and a pioneer one...they were both $229...2 of my friends have the JVC one...im thinking of getting the pioneer one to try something a little diff

Don't get either of those decks, I have played with both of them. Go with something else, for sure.

I definately wouldn't go for that either...just shop around at your local stores...I found a pioneer premier DEH-p350 for 175 CAN, granted its not mp3..

ya at futureshop i saw a pioneer DEH -P5500MP deck for $229 and on their site it shows for $350... weird ... i might buy it if it is still $229 when i get paid

Pioneer is always a great choice... They have alot of features and are a quality peice. I'd recommened the Pioneer over any of the others in the price range.

yep, pioneer is nicey...

but i wanted motorized face and 4v outs, thats why i went with my JVC sh909

granted, the sq may not be as good as pioneer, but meh, much better than AC Delco...
