I am trying to decide which subs to get. I am getting an Alpine MRP-M450 amp, 400 RMS @2ohms.

I'm trying to decided between 2 x Pioneer champion 12" TS-W307D2 400 rms
Or
1 x alpine type R 12" 500 rms
or
1 x Rockford Fosgate Punch P312D4 12" 500 rms

I listen to rap and hip hop.

Will the 2 12's produce big sound even though they are underpowered?
I can't run a bigger amp because I don't have the money for an alt upgrade and the pioneers cost half the other two so I can afford 2.

Which will get the best SQ, and be LOUD?
Thanks

Why not just run a single dual 4 ohm Pioneer Champion? You can run it at 2 ohms which will give you 400 watts. That is perfect for your sub and you will save even more money.

I think the alpine or the P3 will most likely be a lot better, and i'd rather spend a little xtra to get a good quality sub.

The 2 12's should be louder because of the extra cone area. As long as the final impendance at the amp is 2ohm of course.

Go with the 2-12s you will be fine. just make sure like AAAAAAA said that it is two ohms final load which you can do with the D2
