I would suggest to see what your local independant stereo shop has to show you. Ask what opinions are on this forum and make an informed decision after that. I always suggest using local talent bought and/or installed for warranty purposes.

Good luck on your search.

yeah i plan on talking to my cousins boyfriend who works at bestbuy. he works in the audio system so he probably knows what hes doing, just havent found the time yet

well id like for it to be around a grand for the whole thing. equipment, installation and what not, but if i end up really getting into it then i dont mind spending a bit more. just dont have much money right now

Depending on how tight you're with your cousin, maybe her b/f can get you all gear for employee discount, and have it installed there as well if need be.

Ok, guys, I am outta here. Sorry, I can't work with such low budgets. I simply do not know anything in that ballpark. I hope you get some good advice. Good luck, and let us know later what you got

I think this is your best bet, BB has some nice gear. Alpine, JBL, Fosgate. If you get your stuff from there, I'd look into Pioneer(would be better bang for your buck) or Alpine for the head unit, and JBL or Fosgate for amp/s and try to get the biggest 4-channel they have, cause one amp is cheaper than two, and JBL components for the front, cause they sound better than Fosgate, or Alpine(only type X is good). Go there one day, and have a listen to speakers.

I agree bro talk to you cousins BF because it will give you the best bang for the buk. I like jbl comps up front and amps personally, I not big on anything from rockford, they haven'tput out quality in several years.
an alpine deck would be good investment they are quality and last a while.
