Is there one? I need a mono amp to power my two MTX 6000's but i cant spend more than 200$, i have a 600 watt KAC-729S at the moment that wont power both of these subs. Is it worth it to just buy another kenwood amp off ebay and run each sub to its own amp or is that not as good as using one mono amp? Also my Deck only has one rca output so will that hurt me?

Well you will have less voltage going to each of the RCA's which will give you less output on the amps and maybe the altnator might not be able to keep up with the two amps. and thats all I can think of

If the subs aren't in seperate enclosers, It can be tricky to set the gains so the subs "match".

maybe I am assuming a bit much (yeah yeah, makes an 'ass out of u and me' but isnt each amp slightly, maybe not noticably, different in its exact output?

isnt that why birth sheets are generally referred to , for individual amps?

like two amps of the same model might differ in output by a few watts? Or is that ridiculous?
(maybe one was built on a friday or something)

I'd hit it. That's what I'm doing anyway.

. It's true that no 2 amps will be exactly, the same in either efficency, nor power outputs. Although i would recommend that you either use 1 bigger mono block for 2 woofers in the same enclosure, or you can infact make 2 seperate enclosures for each woofer, and make it look like 1 box.

Not saying that using 2 amps for 2 subs in the same enclosure won't work, but it can be tricky in making both subs work at the same power, and timing. It can especially become tricky when your using 4++ amplifiers for something like super street. I find if i didn't have all my amps calibrated, i would fry voice coils a lot easier!

But anyhow, i think for the extar power you mine as well get another same amp for the 2 subs. Good luck my friend.

If you use a DMM and some test tones, I don't think it would be too difficult to level match the amps.

But if you're going to use the internal cross-overs, I think it'll be a bit more challenging setting them so that they are identical.

Did you separate the chambers in your box? if you didn't, yo can always add 1 board right in the middle, vertically to separate the chambers, effectively giving you 2 boxes.
