my single ported box sounds pretty good, and it even has poly fill lining on the inside (not sure what it does mind you), I havnet had it that long but it seems to sound good either low or high notes and buzzes or what ever you want to call them.

that would be 1250 each so I dont see that being over powered for the kicker box, mine is 1500 and sounds good.

All it means is the more power, the louder it will be at lower volume so you dont need to have your system cranked for awesome bass... unless you are more into SPL then SQ.

No i am saying that a prefab should not be used in higher power applications. Its just not worth it.

Well the kicker box that I have is not like the POS pre-fabs I have seen in best buy where it is just a fiberboard box with a hole(s) cut in it.

Also since he isnt looking to compete I think the kicker dual box would be a good choice for him because the kicker boxes will still perform.
