Wow, that's an end of an era then. Very sad to see it go. And they just did a very cool 20-year anniversary special with quite a few of the legendary old skool cars referenced in 1 way or another. Can't remember how long ago Car Stereo Review went down but it and CA&E were the 2 best out there, followed by Carsound and Autosound and Security. PAS mag will never be as good as any of the above listed items. They are way too far out there in sell-out, boy-racer land.

What I've always found fun was to pick up one of Dukk's way old issues of CA&E and remember what the golden days of car audio was like.

^^^I'm lucky I still kept all of my 80's and 90's issues...got to dig them up. i can still remember waiting every month for the new issue to hit the shelves. I even have some old Stereophile buyer's guides from the late 80's...cool stuff in the day. CA&E will be missed...nothing lasts forever!

And because Nov. is the last issue, I went out and bought the Oct 20th anniv. issue while it's still on the shelves. It's actually a good issue, with some cool flashbacks to the past 20 years and even an old skool install feature.

While I lost touch with CA&E over the years mostly due to the styles of installs they were featuring and the heavy emphasis on in-car video (boooorrrriinnnggggg), a great improvement they added was the how-to stuff at the back. It was actual fabrication work to create cool stuff, not just how to do a deck-and-two.

I've been having a hard time locating it on the shelves the past few months. Guess now I know and I was planning on starting a subscription
And I too find PAS to be low in useful material. Lots of ads & flashy boy-racer but little to no indepth articles....

I looked around, I didn't find it either.

Got my replacement magazine today, called "Automobile" magazine, to finish the balance of my subscription. Not too impressed, let's just say I won't be renewing.
