Well most amps if u open them up their traces arent that thick but with amps its a bit differnet as once the current is at the amp it doesnt need to travel much further to do what it needs to do. I guess what happen with me is since i was usign cheap 2 gauge the voltage drop was HUGE proabbly i never metered it. and the amps were needing more current. as the rule is lower voltage menas greater current draw. I guess i got the voltage stable aroudn 14.0 V and now the amps aren't drawing as much current to put out the same power. |
wow, thanx for all the input guys, I think I will go with 4 gauge just to be safe, its not a cash issue, its a colour issue, cant find blue 4 gauge anywhere!! small town, anywayz 8 gauge was all I could get in blue. Thanx guys for the help Joe |
