I have the Sundown 1500, and it is one of my few favorite amps. No experience with the subs you mention. They look good though.

it's cause I have the option for a Clarion DPX11551 amp, and two Clarion signature series SSW1201 12" subs here at a local shop for about the same price, I should have mentioned that in my original post..

thanks

That Clarion amp looks very good as well. I think it is still made by Arc Audio. Clarion is 2 ohms for full power and Sundown is 1 ohm. So choose subs accordingly. I prefer the sound of Class G/H amp actually, as I am running one right now. As much as I have been steering away from mainstream brands, this Clarion amp looks really good, and I would prefer an amp to do full power at 2 ohms, so in this case I would choose the Clarion. Though Sundown will be more efficient at 1 ohm around 80%, and Clarion will be around 70% at 2 ohms. Not sure about their subs, as I have no experience with them, but they look impressive.

ya well one of the Clarion DPX11551 amp the guy has at the shop is last years and 1 ohm stable. but the subs I don't know, I never heard "em either.

would be nice to get some feedback on them. of course the guy at the shop tells me they sound awesome but he sells them so..lol he doesn't have any in stock, only 10's in a board, but I'm looking for 12's so

I've heard some of the older clarion high level stuff and they sound ok but you really don't get as much as you should with the classic name brands. For example I've got a FI 12' ssd dual 1 fully loaded, 800rms,23mm max cost me $240 tax in shipping ,duty everthing. the clarion is 500 bucks and if you look at say MTX 9500 it's almost $700. I'd stick with the sundown and the RD's you'll get a lot more for your money and more boom in your trunk!

lol.. ya I went to see Jeff at krazy krazy but they don't really have anything I like.. I had two 12 type R's a few years ago but and wasn't impressed. I use to deal with Victor when he was running qca, but chris is alright

I'm likeing what I red on the Sundown 1500 but would like to hear feedback on the RD sonances 12"'s. or other subs in that price range that would get low and loud but still have quality sound cause it's an everyday car

thanks
