This amp is stable down to 2ohms acording to Alpine. But will it still be stable at 1 ohm. My choices are 4 ohm or 1 ohm.

No. It will shutdown on a 1 ohm load as soon as you get into it at any moderate or higher volume.

buy an extra sub and make it do 2ohm.....
