I know I know, ones a mono the others a 2 channel. but for running a sub/subs, which one would you guys go for? Its for a daily driver so SQ doesnt have to be comp quality. im running MA audio right now and sound wise it does ok. Just lookin for opions.

i have that orion amp. its a solid peformer and does its rated power.

the orion does its max power @ 2 ohms bridged
where as the other does its max power @ 1 ohm
do you have subs already?

generally we choose monoblock amps when running subs because they are more efficient and will draw less power.

if it were my $$ i would buy the precision power one. but i dont think you can go wrong with either one

Actually the Orion does max power at 4ohms bridged whereas the PPI does it at 1ohm. If you can wire for either impedence both amps are excellent performers. Well built, easily make rated power, no noise problems, and reliable performers.
The PPI gives you a remote gain and will do more power but it costs a bit more. Warranty is the same and although the Orion doesn't say it's a refurb (that I could see) I'm pretty sure it is at that price.

So there you have it: if you don't need the extra wattage (and both are underrated) or the remote gain then save a few bucks and go for the Orion. Otherwise get the PPI.
