yeah......... it was a lot of money! But it was the best at the time. Also I had a good boss....... he lets me make installments, like $200/mo.
When I first started there in 78, we had 100w 5 band eq booster & 6x9 triaxial as the high-end set up. The Fosgate stuff came in around 1980..... and we also sold raw Phillip home speakers and passive x-overs, and they're usually sold with the Fosgate amplifiers. the 8" phillip woofer with the large magnet were pretty impressive back then.
There were no 10" car audio subs till approx 1982+. I had to use an ESS home sub in my system. MTX was one of the very first to come out with car audio subs, then Pyle Driver, and later Cerwin Vega......
