Anyone had any experiances witt he unit? I'll be using it to play DVDs on a screen, not just as a HU. I can get one for around 600 bucks, and was wondering if this was a good deal, my local A&B has them for 1800 but thats A&B and there are cheaper places out there. Let me know what your thoughts and experiances are. Thanks ahead of time.

the dvs 7996 is a great cd/mp3/wma/dvd player, i have used many and if you could pick one up for 600$ you would be a fool to not get it

okay, I think i can, if the guy chooses to sell. What can you tell me about it, besides the specs. Im planning on using it with a CVA 1003. Would the AInet go to my surround and the other to the video player or does it have a single ainet. I have a 5205 right now, but it doesnt do mp3's and i would really like it to. Im also not such a big fan of running everything through my screen, especially during the winter.

you can use the video out of the 7996 and run it tinto the aux in on the cva1003, if i remeber right, i think the cva has aux video in

I really like my 7996, 600 bucks is a steal.
