OK. I finallly got rid of my old Rockford amp and upgraded to a Sundown SAE-1000D (Thanks Smartass).

I was wondering what the phase knob is for, and what I should set my LP filter and Subsonic filter to.

MY setup is 2 JL 13w6 wired down to a 1ohm load. in a ported box tuned to 36hz.

I wouldn't play with the phase button too much. Actually leave it at 0. Playing with the phase shift in a ported box usually causes unloading. If your box is ported to around 36hz I'd set the subsonic about 38hz.... LPF usually about 65-80 depending on your front stage. Where your front speakers leave off your subs should start. eg. my fronts HP is 63hz, therefore my subs LPF is 63hz.

Right now my front stage only consists of factory speakers though. Eventually I will upgrade.

Does your deck have HP filter for fronts? if so set sub and front to match. Otherwise 80hz is usually good. Nice subs by the way.

25hz is toooo low for W6v2's when ported that high. They unload really easy below port frequency. I'd stick closer to port frequency for subsonic but that's just me.

To get the lows I tune low their Fs is like 25hz. W6v2's unload retarded quickly below tuning frequency. I think even one of my post showed the excursion below tuning in a BB6P graph I posted. It shoots almost straight up. Keep in mind W6's are "best suited" for sealed applications. The EBP for this driver is only 52 and the Qts is .434.

I just got mine in. Tuned to 32hz subsonic set at around 30 was as low as I went without obvious unloading.

So far I have tried the original suggestions that n130gv2 had and it seems to sounds pretty good, but I will try your suggestion as well for comparison
