The HC's are damn heavy, I should know cause I just dropped one on my big toe a few hours ago

Nice equipment, if you haven't heard RE stuff before I'm sure you'll be impressed.

I have used 3 different Type R's and beat the living hell out of all 3, never had a single issue. I put 1200 RMS to 2 of them with no problem

The xxx weighs 53 pounds by my scale. I had 1000 watts RMS going to the 2 type R's, and I tested this thing out today, and in a Crappy prefab sealed box, it is louder and better sounding than the r's.

Are you selling your Type R's? I might be able to locate someone looking for 1/2. What VC configuration are they?

Glad to hear you like the setup Now just build up a nice ported box and you'll wang

Honestly that sounds kinda light dude

Way back in the mid 90s I had a pair of RF Punch Classic 15s (still have them in fact) in the wife's car of a Punch 60(still have it too) and it would pull into the low 140s.

ZR1000 = 1200watts easy

Punch 60 @ 4 mono = 280watts

ZRwoofer = well, Alpine considers them a good SPL woofer..

Punch Classic15 = 40oz magnet. woo.

</font>
I dunno, I thought it was pretty loud, this was without the AC Epic 160 on too, I think with it on, it hits like low 150's.....but that's in a tiny sealed box....oh, and it's no longer a ZR1000 it's KX1200.1, I only heard it with the ZR1000.

An epic 160 wouldn't help SPL much.

^ uhmmm, apperenty it does. Going from(this is the old system) 138-142/143 on the ZR 1000 and 2 15" Solo Barics(old round 8ohm SVC).

Yea I would say it helps SPL a little...not as much as a massive ported box and a KX1200.1 on EACH Type R 15 but it does help...sounds terrible at high volumes though.
