Ever since the new system was installed my rear view mirror was rattling like an ass to the point that it would rattle out of adjustment, But since it's a Ford I need a special tool to remove it and this made my removal of the mirror slow due to being too lazy to buy the tool. Anyways, I went to wash the car today and as I'm washing the windshield I seen this. (link below) I'm not sure if this happened because the stereo was rattling the mirror or if it's just a fluke. Has everyone else had something like this happen?

I can't say weather or not the stereo caused it. Was it fairly hot/sunny out? Being that you were washing the car, I would think that is was more than likely caused by a rapid change in temperature. If it was sunny out, the mirror and it's base probably would have retained more heat in that spot than the rest of the windshield.

I noticed this at 7am, it was about 15 out at the time and overcast.
