Ive been having an issue, wanted to see if there were any ideas i havent explored yet.
The amp is kinda fussy when used for awile and turned off(park car for a min)when started again it doesent wanna turn on again, makes a quiet pop pop pop sound for anywere from a minute to 3 minutes b4 it will come on again, power is all there once on.
I checked the voltage at the amp while this was going on and its at 13.4-13.8 car running.
It does the same thing with car off,its at 12.3-12.7 with the engine not running, but will come on same as when running.@12.5 volts.
The protection light is on while the popping is going on,goes out on its own when amp turns on.
i figured it was the trigger cause i got three amps hooked off it so i got one of those relays.and it still does it,is the amp in need of repair?,might a cap help?
i have 4 awg to the amp as well as ground(ground was taken to bare metal and ive tried diffrent spots).

any help is welcome

I've had my fair share of fun with the new system in my wife's minivan, and I noticed something about the DX700 I put in there. Have you double checked the SWR Xover module? I thought it was seated properly in the amp but it turns out it wasn't. On her's the connector wasn't going all the way in to the slot on the board, and even though I was told that moving it in or out with the power on would smoke the Xover and the amp, they are both still working. I was getting intermittent bass and noise at the time, and after pushing the stupid connector all the way in and using a different source, the amp worked fine...

Another coincidence for you, I smoked the trace in the deck for the remote trigger starting up 3 amps as well....

Picked up the relay today, guess what I'm doing tomorrow morning?.....
