woah woah woah, vee-dub, Im sorry if you think I'm trying to offend poeple, truth be told, I had an alterior motive for this post, (next time I promise to be more direct and concise in the original post, so I wont get basic, simple, ansewrs) if you read between the lines in my last couple of posts, what I was trying to do was get ppl to say some favorite or "expensive" brands, or stuff that they had heard perform, and then TRY to find out why they selected them. Nobody really had a reason why they made those choices, so it lead me to believe that SOME, not all, of the selections were made by flipping through this monts "auto sound and security". It was never my intention to "hurt" ppl's feelings, or tell them that they were wrong. I'm sure that you know why you would install the equipment that you listed, and I know why Matt picked what he picked, and I just want to know your reasons behind it, like the signal to noise ratio on a h/u, the different cool new features it had, or a great sub that's amazing in a small enclosure, or a really efficient amplifier, anything other than "this this this and that" I wanted to know why you guys want the system you selected, and why it would be the best setup for you, not just to list off pricy products, and thats why I added in what I did in my last posts. sorry, if I wasn't more direct in my questioning (although I thought I was, and I will be more next time) I geuss its hard to read the context into type

Then put some 24" spinners on it. I can already hear the stuck up yuppie punks crying. God I love Db drag.

Well if we are to explain why..

Deck: Alpine 7930. I have experience with this in SUX2BUs cars. It is a wonderful headunit with a simple display, simple operation, triple outs, and no built in power. It's damn near perfect.

Highs: Canton RS5 set. I own them. They are the nicest sounding speakers I have heard. They aren't even all that much cash. Current model here: http://www.canton.de/www/content/ind...ng=en&cntry=us

Amps: Alpine 3545 OR Linear Power TO3 stuff. I owned the Linear Power stuff and chose the 5002IQ over the 3545 once. An amp is an amp is an amp. These are big, beautiful and reliable. That's all.

Subs: Focal Multimag. Never owned them, but I've heard them and they do indeed make bass. Many others would do the job but none would look as purty. I've always wanted a pair.

Processors: Coustic XM-7. I own an XM-5 and it is the best xover I have ever used. THe XM-7 has more channels and adds a single parametric EQ band to each. All the EQ I need.
