Ok, here's the deal. I currently got my car back from the mechanics where I had my heater core replaced. Since I got it back, my subs are barely firing compared to what they did before. I measured the amp and it's seeing 1 ohm. Fuses are fine, connections are solid. Green light is on. Subs are still hitting, but barely so I believe the subs are fine. The only thing I can think of is maybe they jump started my car which sent a power surge through and damaged the amp?The amp is a memphis mc1000d and it is still covered under warranty so I guess if worse comes to worse it goes back to montreal. Anyways, I am going have it bench tested tommorrow. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and what was your final solution if you did?

Just curious, did you leave the faceplate on your cd player when you left the car with the mechanic? Maybe they 'tested' out your system [img]graemlins/jammin.gif[/img]

Id double check all connections... especially the power wire under the hood and the amp ground... also RCAs... maybe alt connections...

Jumping a car batt can screw up computers and sensors if you dont hook the cables up in the right order (apparently) But I think the odds of it screwing up your amp are slim....

Id still talk to the shop owner about it before you do anything else..

check your sub level on your deck and also the gain control on the amp.....maybe they messed with your system a bit

I took the faceplate off before it went in...

All is fixed now though. To replace my heater core, they had to take apart my dash which in return they disconnected the HU. They hooked it back up wrong O_o
