The roads in Montreal are getting as bad as the ones in Toronto??....

According to Crutchfield, there is an adapter and wiring harness to fit your car....

You should be able to pick them up at a local shop....you will probably have to wait while they order them in tho.....

Maybe....if the CD mechanism is wearing out, it is probably not worth fixing considering how much a basic deck is worth these days. If the deck itself is moving around, the installation kit would help stop that.

If you get it from a local shop and you're not sure how to put it in, they should be able to do it for around $20- $25 or so.....

As you mentioned, you've had the deck for a really long time......pretty much says it right there.
If it's been working well for that long, you got your moneys worth out of it....

If it gets so bad you can't listen to it anymore, it's time to go shopping.....and get a newer one with more cool toys on it.....

Some last longer than others....depends on how much you use it, what kind of weather conditions it's exposed to etc. etc.

If you're going to open up the deck itself without knowing what you're doing you may kill it completely......if the deck mounting is solid, I would suggest you find a good shop around you that can pop the case on it, power it up on a bench, and take a look at the mechanism and see if it is still working OK....if it ejects and loads CDs OK, they may not be able to see a problem......in which case you either live with it or get a new one.
