Anyone ever hear of this companies Subwoofers being used in car audio applications

LINK HERE

The reason I ask is cuz I was at the bar the other night and happened to be talking to a guy who said he was running a set of these in his ride...I had never heard of em ..got home checked em out on the web and looks to me like they are really only used in Applications such as Stage show stuff and PA systems and things along these lines.

I guess for the most part any speaker can be used in a car audio application I was just curious if anyones really heard of people running speakers of this sort in car audio setups?

Cheers

Funny, I was talking about those drivers last night at dinner!

They were in the autosound game in the late 8os or early 90s, but realised we just keep blowing things up.

They make some awesome drivers!

Be carefull though, typically P/A subwoofers cover the same sort of frequency range that we would expect from a good six-inch, they just do it louder. There are of course exceptions.

Yes dave was just talking about those drivers last night

We talked abotu how they are very very efficient but don't expect to get any great sq out of them in a car, which is why they might be a good woofer for spl with a not 65hz+

Might have to give it a try
