| well its going to be a everyday driver. work, winter car shopping thing like that. was thinking of a jetta or golf? like 99 or 2000 somthing like that. i hear they have alot of problem with eletrical but i have never come across it. 1986 kinda to old plus i want a 4 door. i need this car to last about 5-6 years. i could get like a civic but.. i just dont want one.

| If you don't mind a v6 and If you can raise your budget closer to 10k, you can try and score yourself a Nissan Maxima, 00ish. If you need yourself a car to last 5-6 years, this is probably one of the best cars to go for right now as maximas loose market value. But I don't think it will matter to you a lot how much you will get for it when the car is 11 years old versus the amount that you paid have paid for it 5-6 years ago.
I also noticed you can score a 00ish Camry with decent mileage in your budget.

| A Maxima in that price range has my vote too, a good all arounder with decent power.
