I have been searching for a way to cross over my system, I would like to run separate amps for sub, midbass, and midhigh and do the crossover before the amp, sub 80 and down, midbass 80-130 and mid hi 130 and up, the frequencies aren't set in stone, but that gives the idea of the plan. So I can get an 80 Hz low pass filter (pre-amp) for sub, and 130 Hz hi pass filter (pre-amp) but I cannot find anything in one unit to make a band-pass of 80-130 Hz, I thought of a graphic or parametric EQ but I would rather have a crossover device. What are some product options; I’ve searched everything I could think of for an active band pass x-over. I know people do it, what are my options, (products)?

I have an alpine 9855 and it can be run in 3 way mode just like you want. A lot of high end decks have built in crossovers and that is the preferred way of doing it so that you have control over it from the drivers seat.

It sounds like you have a deck with only one pair of outputs?
There are lots of outboard crossovers. Phoenix gold, kicker, audiocontrol.
But what you'll really need with that is remote control.
Audiobahn AX303P 3Way Electronic Crossover, looks good, but i'd rather put my money into a good head unit

only an option if you're ok with loosing rear fill... can't run 2-way active, and have rear ch.s in that setup

Chasbot - find a Coustic XM-5e or XM-6. These are true 3way crossovers with bandpass for the mid and excellent performers with lots of flexibility.

You can find that coustic used probably. Haven't seen too many of them in Canada. There are other alternatives to Coustic, some are as good, some are slightly off.

Theres an awesome PPI dcx- 730 processor, but since there were a very few of them, people now are making profists on it selling them for twice as much hehe.

The XM-6 is a current model. There are other good 3way crossovers out there but I have never had a bad experience with a Coustic and their flexibility and price make them a winner for me. The hearse is getting an XM-5e that I have had for a few years for just such a project

ok, so I did some deeper searching, and I think its in my best interests to just go get a new deck, i really have my mind set on the pioneer premier deh p880prs mainly because of aesthetics, I like the 2 round knobs on either end, and it has the ability to actually be hooked into the factory dimming circuit that many decks I've seen lack. and it has the 3pair 5v preouts where as my current premier deck only has 2pair 2v preouts. thats where I was confusing myself, I really like the pioneer premier for reasons unbeknownst to man. If anyone has any ideas on a better deck in the same price range (under 600) I am open for suggestion, I am really choosing on the look of the unit though, but if anyone feels that the deh p880prs lacks something necessary I would like to know, the reviews are all pretty positive and its features seem pretty advanced for the cost. Thank you.

prs880 is a good unit featurewise and will do all that you want for a 3-way active setup. I don't think there are too many other current model units that will do this. (9855/53 is last year's but I'm not sure if you can get one these days). If I had to get a deck at this point for your duties, 880 would be it.

Could you please provide some details on the speakers that you are going to use?
I'm somewhat puzzled by your frequency range mentioned in the first post for each driver.

Me too Are you running a 4 way with passives on the mid/tweet? The 880 can't bandpass from 80-130, the lowest mid LPF is 1.25kHz.
