I have 2 JL subs 300watts 10W1v2.4 for my truck. Im not sure what kind of amp to get i think i need like a 2-channel 600watt+. Im new to car stereos so im not sure what kind to get just wanna know what people would recommend for a amp and deck. Was kinda looking at the Pioneer PRS-D4000F or PIONEER GM-5200T 2 CHANNEL 760W

jl 10w1v2's have an rms of 150w, just my suggestion but an amp that will do 300-400 rms at 2 Ohm will probably do fine.

as for the deck I personally like the pioneers/premieres but I'm iffy about pioneer amps...one of the vendors on the site can point you in the right direction I'm sure.

those subs look like 4 ohm, single voice coil? correct me if i'm wrong?

If you run them off the stereo 5200T, you'll only have 125 w each. That's not enough in my opinion.

You need to wire them in paralel for a 2 ohm load and run a mono sub amp.
GM-7200M is what you need. They're cheap. Walmart sells millions of them, so everybody eslse has to reduce their price to match.
360 Watts x 1, at 2 ohms <= 1% THD+N, at 100Hz CEA rated.

I'm a big fan of pioneer amps, I currently run 6 of them. No problems.
I used to have 2 GM-h200 and a 922.
The only prblem i ever had was the 922, but that was broken terminal from my toolbox bouncing around the trunk. Doh!

Yeah, I'd go for the 510, and trade in your subs too.
You'd better trade up because the 510 will smoke those baby JL's.

Seriously, I'm a big fan of bigger subs and more power.
I have 2 CVR 15's with a bridged 5100T on Each for 380 wrms each.

And I want more.

I hear Kenwood decks are good, my future son-in-law has one and loves it.
Personally i like alpine. I had problems with an old pioneer, but that was a long time ago. Eclipse and Blaupunk and clarion have good reputations.

More than make, you should look at what features and functions you need. Don't get caught with a deck without all the outputs you need.

Set a bottom line. If you decide you want front rear sub RCA outputs and you need built in time alignmet, mp3, ipod, etc., then look only at those that have what you want.
A lot of people get stupid low prices, then wonder why it doesn't have all the stuff they need. Then they want adaptors and add ons to make it do everything they should have had in the first place.
