| My Fiance and I Just bought this car, freakin gm changed all the crap from previous models i need another harness, new face plate adapter now turns out i need a special harness because gm wired some stuff through the Stock radio? Has anyone had this issue or now if the special harness is actually needed?

| Extremely common - go to any reputable install bay and they will have all the stuff you need. Prepare to drop $150 or so just in parts..
It's a GM thing. |

| I have no prob with doing it, just piss me off I just dished out 25,000$ on this car, now just to put in my radio it's another 200$, U can get some adapter that cost 180$ so u don't have to mount ur radio in the back of the trunk which is what I am going to do, but it just a real piss off.... |

| might be teh same bs that happend with the 02' caviliers. before spending mega bucks check out jbody.org and see if theres anythgon on it there.

| Yeah, if i was a dodge fan then I woulda got a Neon lol, but yeah it is the same B.S as the 02, cavaliers yeah I will check on J-body.org and see what I can find..... |

| You dont need to shell out the 150 bucks for the harness.. Metra part # 70-2003 is a buypass for the factory radio. You do have to run a new 12v constant wire and you will lose your wonderful door chime noise to indicate that you left your keys in the ignition, but it costs $20 instead of $150. you can get metra from pretty much any local shop around..

I don't currently have a fixed address but i am currently in the greater toronto area and i'll race you for pink slips. just to warn you i'm running and 86 k car with a factory engine and tranny with headers and a NOS sticker.
