Hey I'm just wondering what some of the top of the line subwoofers are right now I'm looking at either getting a RE Audio 12" XXX or JL 12" w7.

My amp is Hifonics XX-Maxximus... so I'm looking for a good brand with lots of power.. that my amp wont blow.

thanks.

I reciently heard a JL woofer at 500 watts..it totally blew me away. The guy was going on about how 500 true watts is more than enuff for most people. Personally..the next woofer I get will probably be a 13w6v2.

You're looking for a daily-driving subwoofer to match with an amp that's rated for 10,000 watts?

Yeah... I'd go with the jackhammer - something everyday run-of-the-mill, nothing over the top.

Do you actually have the amp yet, or are you just intending to purchase it? If you haven't bought it yet, I'd recommend going with something a little more electrical-friendly unless you're looking for balls to the wall SPL... 3,000 watts would do just fine for either of those subs you mentioned - even 3kw might be a little excessive for daily on one sub though.

If you're dead set on a maxximus, you should probably get a sub that's a little more geared towards SPL to handle the abuse.

Ridiculous sub for a ridiculous amp.

I have 2400w daily, and I find it more than loud enough.
