I have a 98 F150 Regular Cab, and I want to throw a system in there. Because there's no room for a huge ported box with two twelves or shit like that in my truck, I have to get creative. I was wonderin' what kind of set up should I be running? I was thinkin of settin up one Pioneer shallow mount twelve. But if I can mount something bigger that would be dope. I was thinkin the MTX 12's Future Shop is blowing out like 60 bucks. Any advice would be appreciated.

In this truck you have a lot of space...I will go for a 12 in a very well designed box...tuned at 40...

Thanks. Any places you'd recommend? Or just stay away from the big corporate monster?

What about behind the seat? and the amp underneath the seat.

This is a chevy, but if remember well, you have the same space in your truck (the box is vented).

You shouldn't need to use shallow mount subs in that truck. You won't be happy with them either. I had to go the shallow mount route in my Quad cab as a temporary fix but they do not sound as good as a regular sub. I am using a RF P3 shallow mount 12" in my truck while I complete work on my custom box, and this sub is miles ahead of a lot of the others in both power handling and sound quality (as far as shallow mount subs are concerned) and it is also DVC. It fills the gap for now but I would never consider using it permanently as they are just not the same for SQ. SPL isn't half bad considering what is back there though. This sub will be for sale along with the Bassworks extremely thin box very soon. I think that when you do the math you will find that you have more room back there then you think.
