i cant remember them all...if you look it up on the site, it will probably say somewhere, as it is a japanese company, and these things are important to them. quality and excellence are 2 of them.

I'd like Alpine amps if they costed less, but they don't. Also, a few of the new V12 series amplifiers I have used have had weird glitches (power output seriously cut when low-pass filter is set on an M300, kind of made me think they accidently put a high-pass filter in it. Using some options on an M500 put it into protection (gains all the way down, no boost). A different M300 also had that problem.) All of those amps were either replaced or fixed under warranty, though ...

The speakers haven't impressed me all that much (Except the Type-X speakers. The Type-Rs are decent for the price, the Type-S line is mediocre.). The Type-R and Type-S subs are great, although overpriced at most places around here ...

I didn't know Alpine ever used Dynaudio drivers. How long ago was this?
The new F#1's sure look like they're Scanspeaks.

</font>[/quote]In the late 80s and early 90s Alpine used Dynaudio drivers for their reference 6.5" midbass (6062) and tweeter (6022). The 6062s I believe are the Dyn 170GT or something like that and the 6022 is the D28AF. The word on the street is that the F#1s are indeed Scanspeaks but with a massively inflated price tag.

I have pletty of old school Alpine gear. Its at least 8-10 years old. The latest additions were a pair of 6012CX subs and a pair of the 6022 tweets that SUX was discussing. They really did make some fantastic gear. Today's product is still up there interms of quality but I really don't like their asthetics (esp. on the head units).

Thanks for the info, I have a set of Dynaudio's in my car now and love the way they sound. Although I'd like to hear some Scanspeaks as well.
You can get Scanspeaks from solen.ca for what looks like a decent price.
