They are a great sub but the L7 isn't near the best. How many SPL records does Kicker have with the L7??? Hell there weren't even that many L7's at the Comps this year and if there were the Solo X got waxed by Team RF subs.

I like the L7 and i am looking at buying one, but i know there are many far superior subs out there. The L7 is good for SPL and decent for SQ but subs like the Brahma, e12a, and Team RF will destroy them in SPL and tons of other subs are better for SQ. You are right. The L7 is one of the better subs out there. But not the Best. Thats all i was saying. As for SQ, if you read any of the Car audio magazines, especially Nousaine's review, he states while getting great SPL the L7 is only decent at SQ. I would like to see the L7's competition in those particular situations. I can name a few subs that even by personal experience i have found have better SQ. The XXX, and JL W7 (I hate to admit that it's good at anything but it is good for SQ) are just examples.

Gary Biggs and Mark Eldridge proved that the L7 could sound good. It's all in the application.

i think the W7 is a WONDEROUS woofer. I dont understand why you 'hate to say good things about it'. Im suprised big dave hasnt been on here yet. He usually comes and defends the w7, so i dont have to. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
