| Hi all
just installed a BMF1000D with a Beyond Audio X-One (dual 4ohm, wired for 2ohm), and it just doesn't seem like it's pushing the sub at all. I previously had an Alpine MRV-100m (200w rms, 300max) and it seemed to push the sub harder. I'm wondering if the 80amp fuse up front is the reason, perhaps i need a bigger fuse? I am running 4gauge power/ground, signal is being sent through a Phoenix Gold PLD1 Line driver so the line voltage is high. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

| The fuse isn't the problem (it would just blow if the amp tried to pull more juice). The 4g should be fine as long as you don't have any other big amps in the system (might want to use a meter to check for voltage at the amps). I use 4g in my system with no problems.
I would double check you have the sub wired in parallel and not series, all connections, faders, pld properly set, placement of the box, etc. |

| AMP DEMANDS 120A DRAW
DONT FORGET ALT MUST PROVIDE THIS JUICE
POWER WIRES ARE GOOD
AS FOR THE ALPINE AMP DOSENT REQUIRE AS MUCH TO MAKE POWER.
BMF WILL ROCK THAT SUB IF THE CHAIN IS STRONG
REMEMBER A CHAIN IS ONLY AS STRONG AS YOUR WEAKEST
LINK
HOPE THIS HELPS
HOPE YOU HAVE A CAP!

| hmmmm...i thought the bmf1000's put out their rated rms @ 1 ohm ,and your load is 2 ohm...soooooooo...i'll assume that its putting out 500wrms..just a guess

| I haven't checked the voltage at the amps but the alt is giving 13.7-14.3v when running the car, so i know the alt voltage is fine.
I've double checked the wiring for the sub and it is wired parallel for 2 ohms, so no problems there.
The amp makes 500w @ 2ohms, or so the manual states, which should be enough for my purposes and the sub (600w rms). I bought the amp in the event i wanted to upgrade later on, one day.
I'll doublecheck all the wiring tomorrow but i'm pretty sure it's all done well. The PLD1 is setup properly and i have tested without the PLD1 and same problem, only the output is not as strong since my pre-out voltage on my deck is only 1.8v (Kenwood MP522).
I'm wondering if the remote gain has to be hooked up, i do remember some amps (rockford, i believe), that worked better with this hooked up. I know i'm grasping at straws but any suggestion is better than none at the moment.
Thanks for all the advice, keep it coming!

| 500rms (likely a bit more from that amp ) will rock that sub. The amp will not be drawing anywhere close to 120a in this setup.
Check the voltage and let us know.
Maybe the box?.... |

| Make sure the amp is set to master and not slave, keep the gain at minimun and use the line driver as the gain, hope this helps because i had the same problem with my VR1000D good luck
