The FS I was at had RF FanaticX 5¼" comps for $149. If I were you I'd pic those up.

on the RF's.. Has it been a while since you heard those speakers?.. You can reproduce better sound from a can and spoon.

Personally I would buy the Infinity 5". The pioneer 5" at under 100 bucks sounds better than those Rockfords

Get the Infinties, I just put some up front in my car and they sound great. I recommend them. Heck, spend a lil more cash and get some Kappa's

I think you should bring your own CD, listen to ALL the 5.25s in your price range and buy the ones that sound the best to YOU

I dont know if FS still carries them, but I used to own a set of infinity reference components. They sound great. Price was very reasonable too (bought them with an employee discount though)..

I personally don't like the sound of RF components either. The sets I've heard have sounded really harsh on the high end, and boomy in the midbass. I've never heard their higest end set, but the lower end speakers left a lot to be desired.
