I have a 6500D in my car right now, great amp, good power forthe money, but found that it really needed a capacitor to give it some life, seems like the power supply is a little weak.

got a 1 farrad cap already, just need an amp, sofar looks like the MTX is the way to go,

I was trading my Alpine V12 Expert series amp for the MTX. The other JBL amp was $250.....

Actually the power supply in the amp is quite large. the 6500d is quite a powerfull amplifier and will demand voltage. Stabilizing the voltage will definatly help the amplifiers output performance
