It's just another drain on your battery. | I can guarentee you that there are all hell of alot more then one or two factories in the world that manufacture capacitors....
Also, the caps that are found in the PSU section of an amplifier are there to filter out DC ripple... not to store power..

(at least from my info i found on the net) But I reserve the eternal right to bury my foot in my mouth if I'm proven wrong.
As far as the use of caps in the amp... they do still store power, regardless of the reason.. no?? |

| hold power yes and no its a cap but like haunz said its only to fitler and not does not supply power to the amp in a case of voltage drop
in execption of the RF T15KW it has its own capacitor bank in it to help it during voltage drop

| I have seen/heard the difference with a cap in several different installs, I say since you have it, use it, BUT as opposed to what most will say, use it on the kenwood....you don't have a huge system, it's about the right size for what you're running.....I highly recommend the big three as well.

As far as the use of caps in the amp... they do still store power, regardless of the reason.. no?? | getting away from speculation on how many places in the world 1F+ caps may be manufactured........ yes, the caps in the psu of your amp do store charge... but they are there to filter or 'stabilize' the AC ripple created by fets switching between 100khz and 10Mhz (depending on the amp)...
edit: When I typed DC ripple earlier I ment AC ripple, duh lol

| basically the tiny little capacitors in the amp are way way way too small to store enough power to make anything but a negligible difference. most would argue 1F+ caps don't even hold very much.
also, are they not used in the wrong place in the circuit to be supplying power? |

| cap with voltage display is useful (as an expensive way) to see what voltage your system is at... thats about it.
