I ordered the Eclipse cd7200 head unit, but I was told by the dealer that they have been recalled so now I am in the hunt for a different head unit.

Some of my other options are:

Eclipse CD3200 (cheaper, much smaller eq)
Eclipse CD7100 (last year's model of the 7200, but more $)
Pioneer DEH-P9800BT (nice eq)
Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT (nice eq)
Pioneer Premier DEH-P880PRS (nice EQ, last year's model)
Pioneer Premier DEH-P800PRS (nice EQ, this year's model)
Nakamichi CD 500 (same price range)
Alpine CDA-9887 (decent eq)

What do I value most? (in this order)
1. SQ
2. EQ
3. Looks

Any help / advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

P.s. For those wondering, I'll be running Boston pro60's in the doors, a 12" Oz Audio sub woofer, entire system powered with 2 older MB Quart RA series amplifiers. I just need a head unit to seal the deal.

what was the reason for the recall??? I have the cd 7100 - it's my second one first one was CD player was messed and the electronics were wonky!

i loved the price and controls on the cd7100 great starter SQ unit!

I"m not too sure what the recall is for, but I would imagine the cd7100 would be a nice option. I don't like the fact that it's more $ than the newer model though.
