Okay great news, got more money out of my insurance company - back to the original ampd and subs!

That Hifonics one and the 2x 12" type R's.

What gauge wiring would I need for this setup???

i would use 4 gauge for that

some will say no but personnaly it helps a bit but its all a choice a place to put your money is for the big 3 witch helps even more than a cap

Also about the wiriing..

My old wiring is 8 gauge...

Other than the power/ground wires being changed to a 4, is there any other cables that need to be changed? If not, it seems silly to buy an entire wiring kit - is there a place where I can just buy a (cheap!) 25-30 foot 4 gauge wire so I can use it for my ground/power?

car audio shop should sell by the foot and prices depends where you go shop around sometimes they sell at crazy prices like 1 shop here sells theyre 4gauge at 8$ a foot and i whent somewhere else to get it at 3.50$ a foot same for 0 gauge it was lik 18$ a ft and 5$ at the other shop

welding shop or Princess auto...use welding cable, and if you can afford it, get 0 awg as it will allow for more upgrades later without having to run more or larger power cable.

Shits expensive! even by the foot, even at 3.50 a foot....x20 = 70$. Theres 4g kits on ebay where shipping + kit = about 70$. Yikes!

20 FT 4 GAUGE BLUE POWER WIRE LOW RESISTANCE - (eBay.ca item 150261092641 end time 26-Jun-08 05:24:48 EDT)

Would this work? 20ft 4 gauge blue power wire, low resistance....20ft for 30$ (thats with shipping)
