| what yuli is saying is that if a sub is rated for 1000rms that mean the manufacturer feels the sub can safely take that much power with out melting down.

| Ok i was thinking of using a RF T4001.1 amp 4000 watts @ 1ohm and i heard Rockford is under rated ? And the subs im thinking of using are 2 Kicker Solo X each 2500 RMS will the amp be good enough to power them ?
And is this any good for the alternator Stinger SGP32 - Stinger PRO 200 Amp High Power Relay/ Battery Isolator ? |

| that combo will pound! as for being under rated it depends on what ohm load you are showing the amp, how much power it actually produces will depend alot on your electrical. get a big freakin battery! as for the alternator i dont know ive never used em.

| yeah i agree with him.... dont get in over your head, after your 'will it produce 1000 watt' post, you may want to do alot of reading around the forums and get a better understanding of car audio, it will be safer in the end for you, your car, and your gear, also you'll beable to maximize the potential of your gear once you do have it all... as opposed to spending a ton of money, just to have someone like me with a 1000 dollar stereo come along and make you sound like you forgot to turn the bass up.... it wouldnt be the first time ive done it hahaha

| well there are two kinds of loud theres competition loud and theres driving around loud. a 2150ish batt would be good as long as you can get it under the hood, unless you have plans to run more then one battery. the gear you picked would be very loud, as long as the box is right the tuning is right and the settings are right, reliable gear is a big part of getting loud... But your brain can do just as much, all the gear in the world is useless if its in the wrong hands.

| what is your budget and where are you buying the gear?
SP2150 is a good battery but I would not buy it from a shop cuz they will charge you up the bum bum for that batt.
go to this website ODYSSEY Batteries - Dealer Locator and find a dealer in Ontario that's close to you. Then call them and ask them for Hawker Odyssey 2150 battery. It's the same thing as the Stinger batt but probably cheaper.
