i wouldnt be too keen on competing with it because it likely has a nice thick steel plate between the trunk and passenger compartment which totally kills airflow. I could build at least 2 killer systems with $5000, thats front to back everything including wiring. plan on the other $300 going to a good box for the subs and did you factor in wiring costs? you'll need big power/ground and its not cheap... oh wait battery in the trunk right? ok that will cut the price way down.

O,i would half to say the DD-9512's will over do the soloX.and i bet with less watts.
not that im putting down the soloX i loved them.it was like having the walls of your house pounding in your face.
i have 3totle ZX2500.1 amps i fried 1 last summer powering a soloX12'
we even juiced one of the subs with 2amps and it sucked it up.
but it needed soooooo much power to get good numbers.

i was about to get a set of DD-12's for this summer.but i tripped onto the TF1 just just before i had the money ready.i think i made a very wise choice.and now im working on the $$ for a good order of them.

Ok guys one more thing , i just bought a four channel amp for my 4 speakers and i have 4 gauge stinger wiring for that, the problem is that u can only connect raw wires like bare from the front and i cannot hook the one with the hook infront of it ...... phew lol . Ok so i cannot connect the hook because it doesnt fit my amps power , ground and i dunno what the middle thing is called . Ok so when i wire the Ground wire first and then the middle one and at last the power one coming from my battery . When i wire the power one it sparks when i touch it with the slot ...

Any ways i can solve this rather then take it to a shop ? i wanna know how to do it lol ?

it will always spark like that when you first touch it, its shouldn't be much of spark though if its trying to weld then something is wrong! hahahah but a bit of sparking is normal. just make sure you have everything ready then ram it in there and tighten it down

take your fuse out from close to the battery so you will not have that spark so close to the amp... and putting the fuse back will spark but will be more in a more confortable part of the vehicle ( plus its quick and you dont really have to touch it much)

None of you guys use a test light to charge your amps before putting the power wire in? WoW if you used big amps with a huge power supply im sure you would cause fires. lol
