OK, I was thinking of buying two Orion HCCA-12.4 subs and someone told me that these subs are actullay 1500 watts RMS and its under rated ?

So can i use a amp which is 1500 watts rms @ 1 ohm to power one of these or it would be better to use a 2000 watts RMS @ 1 ohm.

Or will 2 Kicker L7's be better . OR 2 kicker solo x 2500rms each will they be killer's ?

caps are a never ending argument.. but i dont think there worth a crap. orion makes good stuff the kicker solo x's are good to but the solo x's are a ton of money. I have a 120 amp alt and use a 4000w amp i have [problems with dimming but its because i need more wire more then anything.

what is each orion sub rated at? no, it's probably not under rated. you should power the sub with it's rated RMS power handling.

subs dont "put out" power. they handle the power that is produced by the amplifier. subs put out sound, that is what you hear when you play them. You can't "hear" power, you can only hear the sound.
