AB will "technically" sound better (although the difference is somewhat negligible for most people). these amps are a lot harder to find and i'm pretty sure they'll be a lot more expensive and prob won't have as much power rating to them. i would totally take an AB over D but cost vs return really becomes a key part in this.

Thanks alot.... i ended up finding a shop that gave me a new clarion APX1301 for 160, so i cant really complain too much. Itll do the trick for now, and even better, the amp i am replacing will be sold for about 100, so really, not to bad for the moment.

The 3ohm sub that i am looking at is the jL 13TW5-3, but i had a listen to the kenwood KFC-XW1200F, and i was actually very impressed. But i have no information about how much space it needs in a box and the mounting depth or anything, so the JL is still the one in question for me.
