| I have a bit of a dilema on my hands here folks. I need advice on a sub/amp combo for my new system. I have already picked out what subs I am going to get, they are 2 Zapco i-12D 12" subs, Dual 4ohm vc, 300W max RMS. That isnt the issue. I am doing what I can to decide on an amp for them. I am looking at either a Twister F2 190, or a Diamond Audio D5 600.2. They are both great amps, however I have never heard of the Twister, all i know is that its made by STEG and is fairly good. The Diamond audio is capable of producing the power I need at a 4 Ohm load, and the Twister as a 2 Ohm load. They are both in the same price range and am interested in your opinions. My set up is in a 98' Tyota Tercel, and the system is as follows:
HU: Alpine CDA-7894
Amp: Coustic 800Q
Front: JL 5.25 no idea the model, will be replaced with components soon.
Rear: Boston Acoustics SX65's
So the subs are great, just what I need. I got them at a great deal, otherwise I would have went for IDQ's, if I had the cash to afford them. But that asside I just need advice for a power plant. And if you have any sugguestions as to a good set of components for a descent dollar value seeing as I am upgrading the near future. I am after SQ and as loud as I can get it so all advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance! |
