as for us talking about our shit... We have given you serious advice about serious gear, you dont know shit about stereos you have proven it over and over again... Come to think of it, i havnt recommended the sub i use to you... But it wouldnt matter because you have no idea what loud is you have no idea what loud means, and your gonna spend all your money on a bunch of crap and some guy like me with a $1000 stereo is gonna beat you by 10db... then what are ya gonna do? go buy happiness? hahaha

yeah you can buy all the gear in the world but if you dont know what to do with it then it aint gonna get you anywhere, thats a sure thing

For all the people for putting me down for saying that the BTL is not really an SPL subs...There are many other subs out there holding records above the BTL. There are better options as far as SPL go then the BTL...

bro if you want to get loud and do well at SPL competitions you should go see someone (maybe off this forum) that is in Toronto area and can assist/help/show/educate/guide/explain you the basics. Probably will not be free, but you would get amazing value for your money and you would be very satisfied in the end. This is exactly what I did...........back in 2003.

yes, thats very true but their can only be 1 loudest sub at a time. BTL's have proven they are very worthy in SPL. They have set records and are still used by some of the loudest cars around. Are they the be all end all sub, obviously not.

yeah its a bit over 1000$ but heres the run down

deck $60 Its a used JVC with 5V pre-outs and a remote thats all i needed
2 runs of 1/0 that were used in a CRX - $100
Amp - $750
Sub - Currently used DC level 4 - $200
Batt - Used G35 red top hahaha - $100
5.25 comp set up front - $45 brand new from XS cargo they are clif designs

so thats $1255 then you can add about $200 worth of misc stuff like MDF and connectors and the adapter kit for the deck stuff like that.... SO we will round off and say $1500, all this adds up to 147db with the car idling and me out of it, I really need to build a new box the one i have have is ooollllllllld and leaks alot and just isnt good, so with the new box built properly i should gain about 1.5 (i say that because this box was used in a different car then we did a rebuild for that car and thats what it gained)
