You would refer to your subs as 2ohm DVC (Dual voice coil)
with a 2ohm DVC your choices are 1 ohm or 4 ohm. So you'll need an amp to out put 400w RMS + at 1 ohm (1ohm would be better then 4 ohm in this situation)

That amp will work, but you're only going to get 200w RMS. Which would be half of what your sub is rated. It doesn't say if its 1ohm stable.

You need an amp that can deliver 400w RMS at 1ohm. Thats 400wRMS at 2ohm.

do you know where i can find one? all the ones i looked up are 400w @ 2 ohm

and what do i have to do to bridge the wires?

i ran a Hifonics BX1000D(1000rms) to 1 12" CVR @1ohm and it loved it :P lol

heres a decently priced 1ohm stable amp, its probably closer to 500rms

Its not like you add a little more power then its rated for, then BAM blown sub.
There is the potential of you blowing your sub, but you could do that just as easily with 400wrms (distortion)

If your really worried about it, just don't crank the volume. (when you get up to the max gain/volume your amp/deck will start to distort. This is what destroys speakers/subs.)

okay i just bought a hifonics bxi-606 for $160 with shipping and 5 year warrenty. i thank you all for spending the time to educate me about car audio.
