Is a DC-DC Converter the same as a DAC ????

Edit: Maybe Iam not sure what you are asking but a 'digital to anolog converter' is basically a microchip and a DC-DC converter is a pwm power supply with a diode bridge... [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

DC-DC converter is a power supply that converts DC... like 12V to +/- 15V necessary to power up most preamps circuits.

DAC = Digital to Analog Converter. necessary for CD players, DVD-A players, etc. Most DAC are build in the CD player it self and only some high-end units have outboard ones. Basically converting the digital 1s & 0s to analog audio from the CD transport.
