what is the deal with these things? i am looking for amplifiers to drive 4 12" L7 kicker subs. these amps seem inexpensive and look nice. they have huge power claims and they seem like a pretty good deal. i can have my pick from ebay sellers at around 180$. the problem im running into is that i cant seem to find any info about these. the answers i have come across seem to come from 16 year old kids saying they are crap, but nothing more elaborate then that.

i figure if they use lots of battery energy then this isnt a problem and if they run hot then i can plan for this too. but if all i want is lots of energy to drive subs then these amps should be the ticket? right? i figure 2 of the 2400watt amps should work to drive 4 subs

it seems like my money is better spent on little speakers and clearer sounding amps on all my 6.5" speakers.

my plan is to use this car audio set up to listen to dance music mostly with overriding bass. also i have a tv hooked to it and i need it to sound like a movie theater

oh ya the install car is a freightliner so space, batteries, and alternators arent a problem.

There is nothing wrong with Cliff Design's stuff. It is decent quality equipment and not generally over-rated either (ie: it does what it says it will do). If you can find deals on this stuff than I say go for it. I have some Cliff stuff in my wifes car and it sounds and works great with no issues.

i have there 5.25 comp set in my car, I paid $45 at XS cargo for em, and the only issues i have with them are directly related to the fact they are running off my deck instead of being properly amplified.

But any comparison i have seen of power figures from there amps to other manufacturers using the same boards, the clif's seem to be rated for alot more then the comparable made by another company.

I saw a bunch of stuff from Cliff D. at xs cargo. I don't know what do think if they are at xs cargo. I guess everything is good in the right application.

It's easy to add a ton of equipment yet it's most difficult to make a great sounding system with less.

so what's your point? Visonic was sold there as well. People started buying that shit up like hotcakes. Even the huge visonic amps were being sold there.

Well, I would not buy either, just my two cents...

Now if they start carrying Focal or Zapco then I'll be the first one in line...
