So that all makes sense, but when can you determine that you need more than one run? Headlights dimming?
Does voltage drop have anything to do with amp clipping?
Just brought my system into the "I-think-I-may-need-more-power" range, and i think I need more power...

does anyone have any example of how many dbs they have gained by adding multiple runs. because all that wire can get pretty expensive but if it an add a few db its defently worth it.

I don't run any wire. I have completed the project of a Nuclear bomb explosion inside a 3rd order bandpass that will exceed 1000 db.

depends on the setup...every setup is different. The rule thumb with "world class" street spl setups that pull mega current from the batts is you will keep gaining until you're under 100 amps of current per run in each direction.

So if your amps pull 1200 amps of current...you'll generally gain until you get to 24 runs of wire. How much you gain towards the end is negligible though.

Also with multicells being disallowed in street (apart from SM) you dont need as many runs now either.
